I want to make tabs for static pages on my site. about,contact,ect. I write the page but can't find how to make the tab I'm using 2.7 in wordpress.I'm a newbie so I'm not technical at all. I hope you can.

Which WP theme are you using for your site? Can i have the URL? If your theme already has tabs then it will auto create the tabs when you create a new Wordpress PAGE. If not, then there's a fair bit of work required to set up the tabs from scratch.

Yes, i would definately recommend that - it would save you a lot of time and effort  But if you really must have the theme you are using then it is possible to create the tabs. |

Paul thank you so much for your help. I know for now it isn't in my ability to try and make tabs.Im trying to get this site up but the learning curve is very hard. Thank you for taking the time to help me

Paul the theme that i have show 6 tabs on the picture that you download but they're not there when i load it on my site.why is that ?

Paul the wordpress theme that I'm using is amazing grace. One problem I was having was I didnt have static page in reading. I had to uninstall wordpress and reinstall it. I do appreciate you taking the time to try and help me . I know I will have to learn html and php sooner or later but one thing at a time. lol

ok, so definately that theme has the tabs....they would automatically get created when you create a new Wordpress page. If they are not then something's wrong So is the problem resolved? If not, let me know your url and ill check it out. cheers. |

Paul the tab problem is fixed. Now lol I have another I tried to put in a email link on a contact page and couldn't.If you can tell me a plugin for forms that I can use I'LL go that way. Also how do I add alink to a page or post if I need to . Maybe after this I wont take up anymore of your time.

Ok, form plugin - i would suggest this http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tdo-mini-forms/Nice plugin, takes care of forms pretty easily. Re your second question, you should just add a standard hyperlink, making the url your full path to the page or post - you can find the full url of the page/post by editing it in admin and checking the Permalink. Have you set the permalinks as per my suggestion in an earlier post? |

HI Paul thanks for all the help. Most problems fixed except one . The theme Im using had a picture of a boat in it now when I write a post there is a wide space where the picture was. How do I remove the space?
